4. The Gospel promise of the Holy Spirit : God’s promise to Abraham.

“Do not leave Jerusalem but wait for the gift my Father promised, which you heard me speak about”. ( Acts 1 : 4)

‘He redeemed us in order that the blessing given to ABRAHAM might come to the Gentiles through Christ Jesus, so that by faith we might receive the PROMISE OF THE SPIRIT.’ ( Gal 3 : 14 )

The promise of the Holy Spirit was made to Abraham and it was and is being fulfilled in the new testament. It is the most fundamental of all gospel promises and it is for all whom the Lord our God will call.

“This PROMISE is for you and your children and for all who are far off – for all whom the Lord our God will call.” ( Acts 2 : 39 ) Amen.
